Paige Mathison
Registered Clinical Counsellor | BCACC #19465
MA in Counselling Psychology | Yorkville University
Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist - Individual
Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (Beginner Level)
With a solid foundation in psychiatric nursing, I embarked on a journey to enhance my expertise by obtaining a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. This transition allowed me to extend my support beyond the confines of a hospital environment and actually specialize in working with Trauma-Exposed Professionals, such as healthcare workers and first responders.
Fueled by an unwavering commitment to fostering improved overall well-being, I employ a comprehensive, strength-based, and trauma-informed approach that is custom-tailored to each client's unique needs.
Creating a compassionate, inclusive, and secure space is paramount in my practice. I am dedicated to ensuring that individuals who entrust me with their wellness journey feel welcomed and supported.
In addition to my counselling practice, I have a passion for advocating the normalization of mental health care. Drawing upon my background as a comedian and wellness speaker, I bring a dynamic and engaging perspective to a wide array of topics. This enables me to effectively connect with audiences and groups, furthering the conversation around mental health awareness.
