Hi, I’m Anjali Nagda, a Registered Clinical Counselor with a Master’s degree in Psychology and a diploma in Clinical and Applied Hypnotherapy. I have spent the past few years working in wellness clinics in Edmonton, supporting people in both mental and physical health spaces. My journey in this field began in India, where I worked as a clinical hypnotherapist in an addiction and rehabilitation center. Since moving to Canada, I have continued deepening my practice, integrating approaches that honor both the mind and body.

Who I Think Therapy Is For

A part of me wants to say everyone, but another part of me wants to unpack that a little further. Therapy is for those who feel stuck—whether in a thought, an emotion, an experience, a fear, a habit, or a pattern that keeps repeating. It’s for those who feel trapped in uncertainty, unsure of how to move forward, or who know where they want to go but don’t know how to get there.
My role as a therapist is to create a safe space where you can lay these challenges out in front of you, explore them without judgment, and work with me to find a way forward that feels right for you. Therapy is not about changing who you are—it’s about recognizing what’s already within you, strengthening the tools you have, and developing new ones that help you navigate life with more clarity, self-awareness, and confidence.

What Happens on the Other Side of Therapy?

Therapy isn’t about finding a perfect solution or reaching a final destination where everything is “fixed.” Instead, it’s about understanding yourself more deeply—your strengths, your triggers, your resilience—and learning how to navigate life’s challenges with greater awareness and ease. It’s about building a toolkit that helps you maneuver through life’s uncertainties in a way that feels more aligned with who you are.
This work is deeply personal—not just for the people I support, but for me as well. I prioritize my own well-being, knowing that in order to truly hold space for others, I need to be grounded in my own balance. Therapy is not a one-sided process; it’s collaborative, dynamic, and ever-evolving.
If you’re in a place where you’re ready to explore, reflect, and work toward a deeper understanding of yourself, I welcome you.

Areas of Passion, Interest & Expertise

Clinical Counselling & Hypnotherapy

Passion

At the heart of my work is a passion for facilitating personal growth and self-exploration. Therapy is not just about addressing problems—it’s about creating space for wellness, resilience, and deeper self-awareness. My approach extends beyond the clinical realm, focusing on guiding individuals through transitions, emotional processing, and self-discovery, so they can move toward a place of clarity, balance, and fulfillment.

Interest

I work with individuals who are ready to explore themselves beyond clinical concerns, using therapy as a tool for personal development, self-reflection, and transformation. My approach is particularly supportive for those experiencing:

• Anxiety & Depression

• Healthcare Trauma & Chronic Illness Support

• Immigration Trauma & Life Transitions

• Fear & Phobias (including social anxiety, fear of failure, specific phobias)

• Sleep Challenges (insomnia, restless sleep, overactive mind)

• Behavioral Patterns & Emotional Blocks

• Pain Management (supporting mental health alongside chronic physical conditions)

I facilitate individual counseling sessions, integrating a dual conscious-subconscious approach that allows for deeper, lasting change. My work supports those who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, helping them move toward clarity, confidence, and a sense of balance.

Experience

I have been practicing for over three years, facilitating therapy for individuals ranging in age from seven to late 70s. While I have worked with a diverse range of clients, I have seen meaningful transformations in women in their 30s to 50s, particularly those navigating life transitions, career shifts, identity exploration, and evolving relationships.

My work is not about providing solutions but about facilitating a journey of awareness, confidence, and self-trust. Every client’s experience is unique, and I tailor my approach to align with their individual needs—whether through structured counseling, integrative healing, or a combination of both.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a counselling model that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to access the subconscious mind, helping clients process emotions, change limiting beliefs, and heal from trauma. It supports healing by reducing anxiety, enhancing self-awareness, and promoting positive behavioral shifts. Through suggestion therapy and visualization, it empowers individuals to overcome fears, manage pain, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. When integrated with other therapeutic approaches, hypnotherapy provides a holistic path to emotional and psychological well-being.
